With still 2 more weeks to go till opening day for Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland”, the fashion and beauty world has been going crazy about it already!

What do I mean by fashion and beauty craze? Take a look.

Discovery! Urban Outfitters’ 1940s-inspired Collection

And lo and behold! One of my favorite stores of all time has a 1940s clothing collection. I was thrilled to find it. Here’s the link: Urban Outfitters 1940s Collection. Go and check it out for yourself.

Here are a few of my favorite pieces from their collection:

New Discovery: Prance and Swagger

Believe it or not I found this via….a Facebook ad (one of those things I normally wouldn’t even bother with but somehow today I felt adventurous and…clicked on it).

But, lo and behold! What I clicked on was not a stupid scam about free gift cards to Forever 21, it was a true collection of vintage pieces! It’s called “Prance and Swagger” and it’s on etsy.com, a gathering of a lot of mini-boutiques and designers.

Anyways, I was amazed by the variety of “Prance and Swagger”‘ ‘s collection. From retro glasses to luxurious coats, they have it all! Their collection isn’t exhaustive of course. But seeing as it is a “vintage boutique”, there are likely to be new additions made frequently. Here’s the link again: Prance and Swagger. Now, as I always do, I would like to share a few of my favorite pieces in their online store:

New Discovery: oli.co.uk

(Writing this post as I’m taking a study break from calculus).

For all of you hardcore fashionistas out there, this is probably not a new discovery for you. But it was for me. I, an American student stuck in this limited corner of the United States, had never seen “Oli” before.

Oli is a store from United Kingdom with very trendy collections. Here’s their homepage.

They even have a…blog! I am definitely adding this to my daily list of blogs to check.

A few examples of what one can find in their store:
